Q1:What is ZLIMS Pro/Pro+?

ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ Laboratory Management System is a pure software product. The system is mainly used to record, view and trace the information of samples and equipment in the laboratory and schedule the laboratory personnel, improve the working efficiency and standardize the operation process by collecting relevant data, resources and activities, so as to optimize the use of laboratory resources. ZLIMS Pro builds a unified management platform for laboratories, and ZLIMS Pro+ is more suitable for medium and large laboratories based on the features of ZLIMS Pro.

Q2:What is the difference between ZLIMS Pro/Pro+?

ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ can manage the DNA/RNA extraction, library preparation, sequencing and analysis processes. ZLIMS Pro+ has added the functions of project management, task order review, execution order scheduling mode, QC product management, sequencing and analysis QC management, automatic determination of experimental QC, and management of multi-production regions compared to ZLIMS Pro.

ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ can be interfaced with the same brand ZSM Pro biological sample management system. It also supports customization to do third-party system docking.

ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ product development team has mature experience in several large-scale project applications, supporting large-scale country-specific genome project sequencing 20W+/year, stable operation for more than 3 years; supporting large-scale automated production line testing projects, with more than 1,000,000 samples tested annually. ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ factory environment has a number of roles available for users to choose. Users can also define their own roles and create accounts for rights management according to their business needs.

▸Software environment: platform OpenJDK1.8, Web server Tomcat 6.0 and above, operating system: Linux CentOS 7.5 or Ubuntu 22.0 and compatible versions, database: PostgreSQL 12 and above, browser: Chrome 101 and above is recommended. Spreadsheet editing software such as LibreOffice is required to be installed on the client;

Q9:What does a task order in ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ mean?

A task order in ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ is a task order that contains the technical route, sample information, and analytical parameters of the sample to be analyzed. By creating a task list, sample-related information can be brought into the subsequent experimental and analytical processes, and the overall progress of the experiment can be tracked through the task list.

Q10:What is the meaning of Execution Order in ZLIMS Pro/Pro+?

Execution orders in ZLIMS Pro/Pro+ are orders that document specific experimental process of an experiment. For example, extraction execution order, library construction execution order, sequencing execution order. In the execution order, you can carry out the functions of sample plate, label (Barcode/index) insertion, sample mixing calculation, experimental results recording and downloading.
