Friday, January 8, 2021. Diagenode’s new D-Plex Small RNADNBSEQ™ Kit incorporates unique D-Plex technology for library preparation enabling high performance with ultralow RNA inputs and providing diverse small RNA transcript detection

Denville, NJ, USA – Liège, Belgium – December 2020 Diagenode,a leading global provider for complete solutions for sample preparation and epigenetics research, has launched a new small RNA-sequencing solution,D-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQTMKit, optimized and specifically formatted for MGI’sDNBSEQ™ sequencers.

Under the terms of a non-exclusive agreement signed earlier this year, the two companies collaborated to make Diagenode’s innovative D-Plex technology available on MGI’s platforms in a joint effort to promote solutions for advanced epigenetic discoveries.

The new D-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQ™Kit is based on an innovative tailing and template switching technology, which delivers a ligation-free method for RNA library preparation from extremely low input amounts, down to 10 pg for small RNA. This technology also enables diverse and novel transcripts detection, ensuring realistic representation of the small non-coding RNA transcriptome and avoiding biased miRNA enrichment as with ligation methods. In addition, the new solution has been extensively validated for liquid biopsy, such as from human plasma, making it an important tool for clinically-relevant studies.

“The launch of the newD-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQ™ Kitreaffirms our commitment to forward progress in RNA research. This powerful solution combinesour best-in-class RNA library preparation with MGI’s high-quality, cost-effective, DNA nanoballs sequencing solution, creating a unified platform to support high quality small RNA sequencing”, said Caroline Quolin, Ph.D., Product Manager at Diagenode. She expanded, “In addition, the kit requires onlyminimal hands-on time using a seamless one tube protocol. The library preparation itself requires just 5 hours.”

Dr. Yong Hou from MGI stated, “The DNBSEQ™ platform offers high accuracy, affordability and applications. We look forward to a continued expansion of our offerings with leading products like the Diagenode D-Plex small RNA-sequencing solution specifically optimized with our platform.”

TheD-Plex Small RNA DNBSEQTMKitis available in a 24-reaction format with two sets of 24 DNBSEQTMBarcodes available.
