Using DNBSEQ WGS to Better Understand HPV Role in The Development of Different Oropharyngeal Squamous Cell Carcinomas
Release date:2020-04-21Writer:MGIViews:358Share

HPV is responsible for the dramatic increase in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinomas (OPSCCs). To study how HPV might be causing different OPSCCs to develop we worked with BGI scientists who performed 30X WGS on 34 HPV-positive OPSCCs. This work revealed that HPV plays different roles in the development of different OPSCCs. It also revealed the power of WGS to better decipher the molecular alterations that underlie the development of different cancers.
